Would also like to erase
files that are currently on E, after transfer, so I can get as much
free space on this back up Drive as possible? Any assistance or
suggestions that our members can offer would be very much appreciated

Hi:

What kind of files are you wanting to transfer? Program files will as a rule
not work when transferred to "C". The files can be transferred but the
changes
that programs make to the OS will not happen on the "C" drive. Generally
any programs you want to run on "C" will need to be reinstalled to "C" using
their application CD. Any files that exist on E can be safely deleted
because
you do not have "uninstall" methods thereon to uninstall them. Data files,
my
favorites, and the my documents folder contents can be integrated into single
folders on either drive using the Windows move commands or drag and drop.
You can also move OEM uninstalled driver bundles and application bundles
and text files like manuals and help files.

Essentially, install the programs you want onto C, keep the stuff that
works
on "E" if you want, and delete the rest. Hope this helps.
