I don't like canned air either. I can't recall whether the fluid is water or 
something else but it usually drys very quickly. It would only be harmful if 
you used it with live circuits, and then probably not very. I don't tough 
any components with a vacuum cleaner tool, I use a paint brush, never used 
for paint of course. And this usually need not be done very often. It all 
depends on the machine design and the environment. If you find that your 
computer is building up dust quickly then clean it more often.
