Ok

A hard drive is, sort of like, the family car. If you take care of it,
it will last a long time. If you abuse it, it will last a very short time.

Also, While hard drive manufacturers do have reputations for, this or
that, it still comes down to how the drive is treated. You can buy a
hard drive that behaves like a Pinto(the car that would blow up if
rear-ended) or, like a Saleen S7([EMAIL PROTECTED], top speed 248mph).

I am not trying to confuse you further. I just getting at how you can
get a hard drive that behaves like Pinto yet, treat it like a Rolls
Royce whereas, you could get a hard drive built like the Saleen S7 yet,
it behaves like a jalopy.

Finally, Protecting it crashes via compression, along with keeping
spyware, malware and, adware from infecting the drive. A hard drive
needs(not saying you don't) to be taken care of the hard drive like
owning the Hope Diamond <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hope_Diamond>.

Since I have a SCSI-based system, I have had the best 'luck' with Fujitsu.

Go by what I mentioned above.

I apologize for the analogies. It was the best way I could think of
illustrating my take on getting a hard drive.
