    Hi.....

I've just gotten in on this discussion, but I've had off the air
local TV, Cable TV, and both dial up email and the Internet, and a
DSL line. Cable TV is really nice, for most cities' local TV doesn't
offer much of anything, and cable TV is the answer for getting the
rest of everything else.

Dial up Internet is "high speed" only until one gets to the Internet
or to downloading something. My computer has a speed indicator,
which helps. My dial up starts at about 45,000 until I get logged in
and start going across country, and then with the voice vs digital
charectoristics of the phone system, I'm way down to anywhere from
2.5k to maybe 4.5 on cross country downloads!! That's a BIG
differance!!

I tried DSL, but while it "zipped" along at a blurry speed, and the
downloads came down to a minute or so, it wasn't worth the money it
cost, not at all...!!!

I tried the small dish satallite TV system, but got rid of it in
favor of cable TV..
