Well, I got my pc back today. Turns out the problem was a setting in
the BIOS (probably the one I messed up, then went "OOPS!") :D
They fixed that, pulled my old drive, put the new one in. Installed a
fresh copy of my XP on the new disk, made that the new primary drive,
and then redid all the moving around of cables and cards that I had
previously done but put back the way it was when it still wouldn't
work. Am I clear as mud? Anyway, all this cost me $106. At least, so
far, I didn't need a new MB or graphic card.
Anyone know how they were able to reset the BIOS without a monitor? If
I had taken the battery back out then put it back in, would that do
it? I'll kick myself in the butt if it was that simple.
