Yes, you are right, it did take a little figuring out. I first created a 
partition from the small unallocated space, then I reformatted it so that 
it's cluster size matched that of the adjacent [empty] partition. Then I 
clicked that empty partition and selected merge. I had to select the new 
small partition and give it a folder name. It's not a big deal but now I 
know that these tiny partitions are not something we are stuck with. :-)
