No, it isn't and that's what I meant in my early message, the quick launch
bar can't hold files or drivese, etc. Only shortcuts. You can delete
shortcuts, but a file or drive or folder will ask if you want to delete it.
A desktop shortcut has a little arrow on the bottom left corner and may also
say shortcut.,

You seriously need to read the documentation on XP and on your computer.
