LOL, if only W98 users were so lucky but the one redeeming feature of the next
version Misery Edition was that it did indeed have SR. Reading through some of
that stuff on Emile's site I saw somewhere that someone was installing W98 as
dual boot with XP and I was surprised to read his comments that it is now
difficult to get drivers and indeed AV protection for W98 OS. In all honesty,
if I was Harry, I would give up on W98 and go out and buy an XP upgrade but it
really depends upon his PC spec. Would you believe that contrary to what most
people say, I actually installed an XP upgrade over an ME pc which had only
64mb
RAM ... a wee bit slow ;-) but it ran ok and far more stable than ME.
The thought of Harry downloading and installing all the W98 patches, fixes and
service pack etc etc ... man I hope he isn't on dial up :(
