An upgrand would better as you say Rupert. Especially as some of the things we now expect our computers to run and use from the web run far easier, and often only in XP. XP is going real cheap these days on the net and at Ebay.

In fact, M$ ceased to support W98 after July 11 2006 so your system along with W98se, ME and XP SP1 are more vulnerable to attack.
