Well the desktop icon of a word doc saved there would be different from click on the "waste bin" or "my computer" of course The word doc would show what I said the other would show a dialog with several tab. What I do not understand is what you mean by original folder?
There are dote for version of XP and your could be older and you could lack the packs that went with window updates. Mine is Version 5.1 2600 and service pack2. -------Original Message------- From: Walter Blum Date: 30/12/2007 18:55:25 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [A-1-Computer_Tech] Protection OK, now this is very interesting. Check your computer and see if this isn't true: When you click Properties, if a folder is an original, it contains only the words Created: Date If a folder is a shortcut (with a little curved arrow beside it), the following information appears: Created. Date Modified. Date Accessed. Date Could it be that your copy of Windows was bought, whereas mine was installed when I purchased the computer from Dell? I am trying to figure out why this disparity. Does anyone else have this? It's not a problem, but to me it's a mystery -- and I hate mysteries without solutions.
