Thanks. This seems like more than I'll ever need. I've never had much trouble with dates, and I only really need a rough idea of when a particular file or folder was created (specifically, the file; folders are not that important).
May I ask a question, however? AttributeMagic describes itself as a "free trial version." What that means, of course, is that you get to try it out and if it suits your needs, you pay. Often you pay a substantial amount. So it isn't freeware at al, is it?. Often the software will expire after a specified length of time, or you will get "nag" screens whenever you use it. How do you feel about this? To my way of thinking there is something a bit deceptive about a program that advertises itself in capital letters as FREE, then when you download it, you discover it's not at all free. I know, caveat emptor. But it bothers me. I've gotten wise to these guys and I avoid their products whenever I can, unless the software is so tempting I can't resist.
