I just downloaded Drive ImageXLM from www,runtime.org and its free and seems
to do the full whole system backup as well.

I would use a Drive Image and an auto Synchronized system at the same time.
For that I like the SychBack from www.2BrightSparks.com

Like you my sytem change by the day and Imagining takes to long will
schematization is constant.

At first glance, I like Comodo Backup. It appears to have a flexibility
that should adapt it to most people's needs and it is FREE.

I have it downloaded, an easy task, and I am trying it. The EULA appears
ok. and I will try it out.

What attracts me is it's ability to make selective whole system, restorable

backups, and automated data copies to removable media such as scheduled
synchronization and automated immediate "on the fly" synchronization to
safe
media.

Hi again:
Just some comments to add to my profile...........

What concerns me is that I have about 40 GBs of data on my 3 laptops. That
would take more than 5 DVDs to do just a data Backup. And then how do I
keep things synchronized? And many people are even worse off. The trick
is to
find the best way to secure the data while having the best way to recover a
failed Operating system. You don't want to have to do both in one
operation.
It's too much and it's not necessary. You also need to keep individual
data more accessible than in a whole system backup. Some data might never
be
needed again, but pictures, Income Tax files, and music need to be handy.
 As
a fulltime RVer I cannot carry all my files, no space. Living the
paperless lifestyle I need, I have years of downloaded and computerized
records and
lots of uploaded stuff to maintain this hobby, and there is a constant
evolution to this lifestyle. I must do my accounting online because mail
to me
is always at least a month late. I like helping others to adapt to this
new
era, and to that end, I take the time to study new options. Bye

Emile
