im not sure i know which socket is which. i just plugged the mic 
and/or headset into various sockets to see which worked. none seem 
too. maybe i missed some. would their be a program out there that 
could tell me as im plugging them in. that if its the correct socket 
or not. see this is a self made puter that my bro made before he 
died. he didnt leave any "paperwork" on it. thanks for the help
