Passphrase is where you are asked to copy the digits exactly as you see then in a web page box to make sure it is a human being and not a machine trying to enter a site.
Password is where you or a maybe an company chooses a set of digits and numbers or mixed with characters to allow you to log in with some deal of security that only you know the password. Wireless networks use security numbers.
