You must have XP on your C drive and then load Unbuntu that will ask you where you want it and if both drives are there choose the D drive if not it will parition the drive and lastly it will set a dual boot via Grub. Your XP disk should boot to load if you have the full program.

I downloaded Austrumi to a flash drive, but didn't know how to access it or use it. So here's where I'm at now. I took the C drive out, switched the jumper to slave. Set the D drive to Master. I left only the D drive in the box and booted. Ran Recover one to make 'sure' I had the right drive. When it found no other installation of XP I ran the install. I chose to leave the format as is and it actually kept the data I had on that disk. So now I have a bare bones copy of XP on that disk. I put the originally C-drive in as the slave. Now, upon boot up, it gets stuck on the screen that says "Press DEL to enter setup". Pressing DEL will not enter setup as it's now locked up. So for now, I took that drive out again. So I either did something wrong in this process or something. Questions: If I take D back out and install C only, should I/could I.... 1) Reinstall Windows like I did on the other drive? I'm assuming my data would be there since it was before, but I'm a little scared to risk it. 2) Set it to boot from CD only, boot and run Windows from the CD so I can copy the files to CD/DVD, and somehow remove Windows from this drive. If I choose this option, can I use Partition Magic to make the drive a "data" drive? 3) Any other suggestions? Ultimately, I prefer the XP installation to be on the smaller, previously D drive, then I can keep the OS away from my data. However....it sucks to have to reinstall and tweak all the software, etc. again. AND... Was this problem caused by my hard drive failing or a corrupted Windows installation?
