It occurs to me that if you used search, you may not have included the  
D drive. You do need to direct your search to where the files probably  
are. I guess I am wondering what you consider recovering the files.  
Does your computer have a CD or DVD burner. You might be able to burn  
the files that are visible to that drive IF you know how to burn  
disks. If you want to you could first copy all the files that you want  
from the old drive to the new one. Put them all in the same folder to  
make the process easier.
