I first car was a '53 Studebaker in '55. I don't recall which year
that I got Windows 286, that preceded Win 3.0.
But I started with MS Dos but I'm not sure which version it was. It
came with my used Sanyo luggable, with it's 5" built in monitor.
I added an MFM, 10 Meg hard drive which did not work well, it was too
warm in the case, so I put it on top of the plastic case. That worked
for awhile. I later got a Leading Technology computor, my first new
one. The brand name was I assume supposed to sound like the Leading
Edge brand.
