I think the "Acer Framework" is a proprietary mini-os that Acer puts on
their notebooks to try to make computing easier for us. They've been
doing it for years. But the fact is that all that framework stuff
running in the background just screws up the normal operation of Windows.

Try booting into Safe Mode like I suggested - the framework won't be
loaded. If all runs ok, the the Framework is likely the prob.
I'm not 100% sure exactly what all Acer Framework does, but I would
suggest you try disabling it and see if the prob goes away and your
computing becomes a bit smoother and faster.

There are several ways you might be able to disable it:
You can maybe find the Framework listed under the Start, Programs list.
See if it has an option to disable it.
Or, look at the tiny little icons in the bottom right of the screen.
Mouse over them and see if one is the framework - if so, double click,
or right-click it and look for a disable (or exit) option.
Or, go to Start, and type MSconfig in the search box. Click the Startup
tab and un-check anything mentioning the framework.

I dunno much about Acers. It's up to you, but that would be my suggestion.
