Have you tried starting the program from the old drive? What error
message do you get?
You probably can't run it because the program will be looking for some
of its support files (like .dll's) on the C: drive where it was
originally installed.
What program is it? If it's not a huge, complicated program (like MS
Office), you "might" be able copy its folder from your old drive to the
C: drive, and manually copy its .dlls into its folder on the C: drive.
It's a very long shot but I would give it a shot before I gave up. The
error messages you get when trying to run it from the D: drive might
give you a clue to what files it needs and where to find them.

Good luck,
Donk
