Yes, definitely look at your filters (if you have any).  Also, if you 
have cordless phones in the house they can sometimes interfere with the 
network signal - especially if the router and the phone operate on the 
same frequency.  2.4Ghz is common these days.  Just unplug your cordless 
phones (from the electrical outlet) and see if the disconnect prob 
persists.  If it does, see if your phone has an option to switch 
frequencies (routers usually don't - but you can chedk).  You can also 
try just changing the channels that your phone and/or router operate 
on.  Try lowering your phone's antenna - or move it further from the 
router or PC if possible.  You might have to buy new phones that use a 
freq other than your router - like an old 900mhz if you can find one, or 
the new 5Ghz models.
