Try swapping the channels your router is transmitting out on. You should be 
able to do this in your controls found at the IP Address for the router.
Our laptop would get crappy signals on channel 7... changed to 1, it was full 
bars.
Like another person said, other wireless things in the path of your router and 
adapter can mess things up too. A little "Tech Feng shui" of the house could be 
needed..
