Never heard of it. And, no, there's no malware or virus that can
destroy your motherboard. I couldn't even destroy my "own" motherboard,
even if I wanted to - without opening the case and using a hammer or
something. Even if a website or remote PC "could" access an
overclocking utility already installed on your PC - the worst that would
happen is the system would crash from overheating until you reset the
CPU settings.
