There are several reasons to go with Vista, first being that XP will 
lost MS support fairly soon. Second reason is that Vista is more 
secure. MS did go a little extreme on the security thing, they ask you 
to approve of many simple decisions the same way that Mac does. But I 
have gotten accustomed to that with my Macs. There is a way of 
minimizing most of the annoying 'do you really want to do this' 
questions. You have to go to user accounts and change one of the 
options. But then you keep getting a message at start up about 
security. I just ignore it now.
