Hi salemagnet28

First of all if you have the shutdown problem again, rather than turn the power
off press and hold in the shutdown button and your pc will close in a few
seconds.

Re your display problem my guess is that your screen resolution has been reset
to 600 x 800 and you need to reset it to it's previous setting which was
probably 1024 x 768. To do this right click desktop and select Properties and
under the Settings tab you will see a slider, bottom left, that may be set to
600 x 800 if so slide it right until you see the displayed setting of 1024 x
768
and click OK, your pc may have to restart or the display may close temporarily
while the changes take effect.

I hope someone can help me. I had trouble restarting my computer
after downloading Kodak Easyshare from their site.... my computer
would not restart or turn off, either by going through the start menu
or by hitting ctrl+alt+del. It would not power down from the tower
button, either; so, I turned the power off (no other programs were
running at that time... just the desktop). I didn't know what else I
could do.

When I restarted my computer, it did the disk scan, which took a
while, then it restarted. What has happened now is that my desktop
icons were all out of order, are now very large, with large bold text,
as are all of the information windows, and everything on the internet.
Everything has just about doubled in size. I went to Control panel,
appearances and themes, then display, and the font size was set to
normal. I don't know what has happened, or how I can get it back to
it's previous state, where everything was a smaller, neater, more
readable font, and the desktop icons were smaller. It's a little hard
to look at in this size. Can someone point me in the right direction?
 I have Windows XP.

TIA
