I tried what you suggested, but the screen resolution was already set to 1024 x 768. Just for the sake of argument, I moved the slider back to 600 x 800 and back to 1024 x 768, then pressed ok. There was no change in size, but all my desktop icons did rearrange near the top left of the screen. Is there something else I can check? I will try restarting again anyway. --- In A-1-Computer_ [EMAIL PROTECTED] .com, "Rupert Bear" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi salemagnet28 > > First of all if you have the shutdown problem again, rather than turn the power > off press and hold in the shutdown button and your pc will close in a few > seconds. > > Re your display problem my guess is that your screen resolution has been reset > to 600 x 800 and you need to reset it to it's previous setting which was > probably 1024 x 768.
