Dog,

First off, don't you have a more personal sounding handle that you can
sign your messages with? :-)
I feel like I am being insulting calling you Dog. I am guessing that
you are a woman/girl since a Diva is usually female.

OK, now to the issue.

One reason that I don't reply to a message is that I don't have any
answers.

Are speakers important? Important but not essential. You can do a lot
of computing without a peep from your speaker.

Generally an internal speaker is primarily used for signals like
startup beeps that warn or startup errors not for program audio. In
fact I don't think you will get any program audio unless the external
speaker(s) are plugged in.

There are all sorts of external speakers. Some consist of only the
speaker(s) and are very inexpensive. Most have a power connection and
an amplifier in addition to the speakers. [Of course lots of people do
not differentiate between the amplifier and the speakers. You can be
external speakers that cost less that $20 and into hundreds with
woofers, tweeters and mid range. I don't usually buy the expensive
ones. If I want music I listen to my stereo. :-)

Now I suspect that you have some specific question about speakers
other than the diff. between internal and external. Ask it and I will
try to answer.

Jim
