Since I have speakers on my mind I opened this post. And while you may get more authoritative answers from mine, I imagine that having speakers will give you greater amplification (meaning you get a better, bigger sound). that would be important to me since I like listening to music. Hi: The sound systems on Laptops are generally not adequate for listening to music or watching movies, and that applies to most all. They lack in both volume and quality, and have very little base response. To enjoy these applications you will certainly need to use external amplified speakers. That does not mean spending gobs of money. I have a beautiful small stereo box that runs with batteries I paid about $50 for. This little box runs about 6 months on a set of batteries, is reasonably portable, and does not require a power cord. Prices and portability vary from there up to stationary and $1000. Take your choice to satisfy your needs. Bye Emile **************One site has it all. Your email accounts, your social networks, and the things you love.
