Hello, Happy New Year to everyone. Here's my problem. Say I'm going to plug my camera's USB cord into my PC. When I touch the cable to the port—not even plugged in yet, just touched it to the metal—suddenly the monitor gets a black screen and a message says it's going into Powersave mode. Then it cannot be revived. I have to hold the power button in to shut down and then restart.
Also, one time only, it went into Powersave mode on it's own (no USB) and could not be revived. I don't know if it has any bearing on the problem, but I have a new Dell S199WFP flat panel monitor that I got in early December. I think I've only tried to use the USB ports a couple, maybe three times since then. Any ideas?
