I agree. It would be different if we had instant communication as we  
do face to face. But not giving enough information will delay getting  
answers.

And not giving some information in the subject line may reduce the  
number of people who reply. I am a member of a large number of Yahoo  
computer groups. If I see a subject line about something that I don't  
know or care about I know not to read that message or the thread. Of  
course I soon learn not to read some threads when I learn by reading  
the first one or more messages that the subject is not for me. :-)
