i got a laptop from my uncle (he said it wouldnt boot up or do anything with it plugged in. he said he had it a few years and it got him mad so he gave it to me. he gets here and forgets the power cable at home and hes 300+ miles away from me. (brought it up for my grandmas funeral which was unexpected) turns out that the memory popped loose and i had got it back in. found power cord on amazon for around 10 dollars and it works fine.
i noticed that when i turn the laptop on the cooling fan inside of it doesnt always come on. i got CPUID hardware monitor and when it reaches around 160degrees farenheit, it comes on. is that normal for it to come on when it gets hot or is there a problem with fan? i figured it done that to help conserve battery power to only come on when needed. checked bios for a setting for fan but theres not one. he had a usb coolng pad you plug up under it and it helps greatly. when its used it stays around 130 all the time. ------------------------------------ If you have any questions or problems with any aspect of this site, please feel free to contact me directly [email protected] Please do not post personal issues directly to the group.
