ok. It isnt a new laptop or anything. are ALL laptops that way? its a compaq 
presario 2100. has like 256 mb ram 30gig hard drive if that tells you how old 
it is lol. i will still use my cooler to be safe, and maybe sometime replace 
the fan anyway. (rather be safe than sorry).  even if its wortking, amazon has 
them for a couple dollars just a pain in the butt to change
