just receives 2 1gb sticks pc2 6400s-555, can someone tell me what the -555
means.
The 6400 should be backward compatible but will not work in my laptop. Not sure
what -555 means. Has 2 slots and currently I have 512 4200 and 512 5300 which
works fine but need more memory. These are 2 matched sticks. I swapped them out
and does not boot, put only 1 in and it tried to boot but got error bsod then
reboot, etc. Put the 2x512 back in and here I am.
I can't find any info on -555
