jaabcm2ps handles multiple chords or chords with alternate bass notes.
Honestly, I'm so frazzled right now (just finished a big project at work)
I don't remember the exact mechanism I implemented (it's been several
months since I had a chance to look at this).
If I remember right I set it up so that an alternate bass note is separated
from the chord by a slash while an alternate chord is enclosed in
parenthesis. I.e. "C/G(Am)" will display:
C (Am)
-
G
I chose that mechanism and output format because it is used in many modern
music books that include guitar chords.
I'm hoping to find time to finish documenting this and get it on my website
this weekend.
