Actually, er, it doesn't import mine either. :) Maybe I can make it
import ABC with more success, since ABC is (somewhat) easier to parse
than Lilypond. This is why I was going to go with some nice XML-based
"native" file format, since it's easy to parse and extend (and hence
maintain) and standard tools like XSLT can deal with it.

Currently, Denemo does not do lyrics, but Lilypond itself certainly
does. However, Lilypond's lyrics support isn't as easy to use (IMHO) as
ABC's.
