Well eye to eye contact plays an important role in a romance for the sighted
people, but a blind and sighted may still fall in love if both the partner
have strong feelings for each other.
Eye to eye is important, but there are ways around. Ultimately be sighted or
blind, both require a touch sence during romance. At the first look, it may
be difficult for a sighted person to understand your feelings but like other
fields, a blind person has to be proactive in expressing his or her feelings
to a sighted person.
Just be with your sighted chrust for couple of days and then express your
feelings to him or her in a decent manner.
The examples are really exceptional but romance is also a game of strong
communication and you may do much more which a sighted person does through
eyes. communicate and express your love with a nice verbal and written
communication. Show your nice expression and gesture in front of that
person. Basically you need to be extra ordinary presentable to attract a
sighted person.

Yes I also second this.
Strong reason is that since we do not make eye to eye contact they might
not be able to express their feelings and vice versa.
and first impression would be sympathetic when they see us with a stick or
escort.
That is why we cannot expect the actual true love feelings with the
sighted partner.
But still there are exceptional cases like many of us have got married to
the sighted partners but how many are love myrriages?.
