Actually, I was informing him something reverse, which means if NRI, non-resident Indian, starts living in India permanently, if one has accumulated more than 12 months, subsequently they lose the NRI status. Which means the bank accounts have to be converted back to the normal residence accounts if one is residing in India permanently.
