Hi! As my experience if you have any private fixed driver, there are several problems appear. The rickshaw driver will treat add his own wish, he will do as he want to do. For example, he will take leave any time withexcuses like some work, or illness, and so on. Sometime hedoes not come on time and you have no option apart of waiting him, unless your family member drop you or pick up you from the college. sometime he stops in the way with excuses like having food in the way, or some other work and you have no option apart of waiting him, means you have nothing in your control and everything will control of your driver. If you complain about this to your family most family members do not understand you. Thanks.

The reason I wanted to switch to something like Uber is that hiring a permanent rikshaw driver is costly as compared to the number of days. The rikshaw driver will charge 8 to 9000 rupees whether I go 10 days in a month or 20. Is it that difficult to effortlessly travel as per our convenience? Like, going anywhere and booking new Ubers everytime?

better to hire one four wheeler or 3 wheeler for regular daily
commutation. it would be cost effective and also safe.

I generally ask the driver to drop me till
the gate or till the reception.
Though I have not use this, but I can
suggest you an idea. Whenever you travel with Ola or
Uber, during that, you can talk to the driver and
fix him as your daily rider, then he will knew that
from where he have to pick up you and where to drop
daily. After that, you can book the ride and call
him and tell that I have booked a ride, then he will
self take your ride and will come to your location.
You may use this daily. But I am not sure this idea
will work or not, I suggested you as I think. If
this idea works, you may commute with Ola and Uber
daily independently. Thanks.

Hello to the group,
I am in college, till now I have had a
fixed rickshaw driver pick and drop me.
However, I am considering Uber as a mode
of transport to commute on a daily basis.
Can someone guide me how to commute
independently using Uber or Ola and what to
do when going to a new place?
For example, what is the approach when
you reach that location using google maps.
We won't know where exactly the
rikshaw driver has stopped the rickshaw and
where am I supposed to go after getting down
from the auto.
Add to that, there will be god knows how
many and what obstacles.
Polls, tree branches, trash cans and our
favourite street dogs.
Please someone reach out and help me by
sharing your experience.
