Greetings Saurav: Unless there is a government mandate for all ride sharing aggregators to assist the disabled community, our struggles with public transportation will continue unabated.
Try this: Put up a neatly typed notice on your college's public notice board in 15 point font saying that you would like to share a ride daily between your location and the college in both directions. Also, mention that you are willing to share the petrol expenses. Put your name and phone number at the bottom. You can also replicate this message on the college Whatsapp groups to which you belong. I can assure you that you will definitely get a few calls. Let us hope you get more than one call because if your collegemate one has no classes on a specific day, you have the option to call collegemate two or three. Another underlying advantage of this arrangement is that your collegemate will walk you up to your college's hallway. Moreover, you might make new friends and even become a part of a group with whom to hang around. Maintaining a private car and driver comes with a huge number of challenges these days not to mention the costs associated with such a solution. Personal drivers often do not show up for work when you have an urgent engagement. Thanks. I have no idea as to what went wrongg at the right times, the updates may make them inaccessible and cause you delays and all the troubles. the Indian companies do not take the accessibility seriously although there are enormous efforts from our community. they are just thick-skinned and apathetic to the blind and the disabled in plain words.
