What I feel is that the concept of special schools and inclusive education are two extremes of the same quandary; and neither of them is perfect. The best solution is the concept of integrated education, which incorporates the best from both sides. The model offered by NAB Delhi stands out in this regard and is a shining example of how one can strike a perfect balance between his/her individual identity as a blind, and yet socialise with the sighted world to become an independent and dignified member of the society.
