Hey everyone, I wanted to share an issue I’m facing with my railway e-concession card’s validity. My UDID card and e-disability certificate are both lifetime valid. Initially, when I applied for the railway concession based on my UDID card, it got rejected. After I raised a complaint on the CPGRAMS portal, they finally accepted it as per the railway’s circular and issued my concession certificate.
However, the problem now is that even though my UDID and e-disability certificate are lifetime valid, the concession they gave me is only valid for nine months, until July 14, 2026. The official provision is that for visually impaired individuals above 26 years of age, the concession should be valid for 10 years, while those under 26 get it for 5 years. Since I’m over 26, I should have gotten a 10-years validity. I’ve raised another complaint and even tweeted about it, but I’m not getting any proper response. So I wanted to ask this group: what other steps can I take? If anyone has faced something similar or has advice, I’d really appreciate it.
