Radio is ok, cause no one can see and the commentator is aware of this --so you find him telling the scores frequently. Even there one of the problems I face is when they tell scores in Hindi. The commentary can be in Hindi and scores can be told in English at least once for the benefit of non-Hindi speakers who listen in. As for television, it's terrible. I understand someone getting out in cricket only after the next batsman taking guard (as my wife would often describe). This is pretty bad and they should voice out things like scores and other status of a game for the benefit of the blind viewers (sounds a bit ironical but we do view them).

All India Radio, Doordarshan and the satalite channels have been covering both domestic and international sport for us. How accessible has this coverage been? What are the simple things that the channels and commentators can do to make the coverage more accessible? You could either write thoughts privately to me on [EMAIL PROTECTED] or if our moderator permits, we could have a discussion on the group.
