I must add here that I was listening to BBC fivelive's ball-by-ball
commentary of England V South Africa in which I found English
commentators not only doing a literal description of the deliveries bold
but also offering a proper analysis of the game as it progresses, which
is also vital. This is something AIR commentators must learn they must
provide a proper mix of literal description and real analysis.

the Radio commentary is relatively accessible as compare to TV
commentary.
I entirely agree that commentators don't care for sightless listeners.
They
perhaps think that people can see the score board on TV. Hence, they
don't
focus more on announcing score again and again even after any change
in
score board, however, I am happy with Ravi Shastri and Toni Greg since
there
commentary is easy to get to.
I've observed that these TV commentators don't announce the score at the
end
of the over most of the time. While they must say the score
at the end of every over.
Commentators should not be based only on TV pictures. A good commentary
means to describe each and every thing comprehensively and clearly.
I think we can write to the concern authorities like the Sports division
of
Doordarshan, All India Radio and board of commentators.

Thanks,
