Hi It is in my mind also from a long time. It would be great if the publishers do such favor, I feel, even at a higher price than that of the hard copy. If they are afraid that we distribute the book by printing, the same is possible with a hard copy by taking a xerox copy. I have a lot of books which have around 700 pages and cost Rs. 400. So, buying a new hard copy is cheaper than taking print out from a soft copy. I don't understand why we aren't able to get access to such e books. And it is not a problem limited to India as even western countries use scanners and scanning softwares like Kurzweil, Abby fine reader etc. So, we must realise that there is something really complicated in this issue and it is not a simple problem.
