A good idea. Except, most of the protected formats like Microsoft's Lit, Adobe's Digital Edition, ISILO's reader, etc, cannot be accessed using a screen reader.
The only way you can read these books is to convert them into unsecured or unprotected formats. This brings us back to the point where we started from.
