In one of the trains (Udyan Express), Disabled Coach is given in between Sleeper Coaches and I think this should be done for all the trains so that it will be safe from the security point of view and also people get their needs like food etc.
Right now, most of the trains having the coaches either at the end or at the beginning. I fully agree with Amit and in addition, I was told (though not observed myself) that concerned authorities take bribe and put sighted folks in this coach. I can't say anything about date or exact incidence but I've heard that there was some mishappening occurred with a handicap woman in the handicap coach. No security person or guard was available in the coach in that moment and finally when people reached their to rescue her life, the woman was no more alive . If this is a truth, then we should accept that extrication of handicap coach from the other coaches of Train is the major cause of such accident. Beside this, the condition of handicap coach is always found pathetic. You may observe many abled-bodied passengers sitting there and all the people are laying down like animals in the coach! Secondly, problem arises when you need tea or anything to eat. I don't know whether pantry people come to the handicap coach to serve the food and, even percolators from the out side cannot enter in the coach. There are lot of problems confronted by the handicapped passengers in the coach due to segregation. So, Handicap coach should also be interconnected. I have not had a long journey in handicap coach, but my experience for couple of hours on two occasions was very bad. That's why I wanted to put across these points as well.
