Subject: [AI] help with opening a joint bank account
hi all,
my wife & I would like to open a joint bank account
with ICICI. we
approached the bank officials with regard to it, however,
we were
informed that while, the RBI guidelines permit a blind
person to open
a bank account along with being issued a chequebook & an
ATM, the same
cannot be done in case of a joint account. I.E. a blind
couple cannot
open a joint bank account, as the same is not mandated &
permissible
in case of a blind couple.
would really appreciate your guidance in this regard.
it would be
really helpful if you can point me to a circular about the
same.
