am very happy to inform you all that after a long tussel, the ICICI official finally agreed to open my account & on the last wednesday, they opened my account. now, we have been issued with an ATM, a chequebook & all the internet based facilities. once again, i would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to kanchan for her constant active support & a regular follow up to resolve my concern. something, without which things wouldn't have taken such a pleasant turn. thanks to all the other people who pitched in & offered their support & suggestions. as a last point in this regard, if it may be appropriate according to harish & may not amount to the violation of the privacy of the officials, i would like to post the address, phone number & all the other details of the people who finally processed my account details & more, so that the same may be used by someone who may need to open an account in ICICI or some other bank. though, all of these officials are from ICICI.

   my wife & I would like to open a joint bank account

approached the bank officials with regard to it, however,

informed that while, the RBI guidelines permit a blind
person to open
a bank account along with being issued a chequebook & an

cannot be done in case of a joint account. I.E. a blind

open a joint bank account, as the same is not mandated &
