Dear Pranav Sir,
Marry Chrismes!
Well, I have chosen CW1 BGM Sony Vaio.
My configurations are:
Ram: 8GB,
HD: 250 GB(Sata),
DVDRW,
Duel Core 2.53 GHZ processor,
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit edition.
That much is enough I think.
Now I have got Canon's Cano Lida 25 USB Scanner.
Now my concern is that weather it supports windows 7 or not. Further, does ABBYY also have different setup for 32 bit and 64 bit? I can ask dealer but I thought of taking advise from listers as we know better since we have daily use.
Awaiting guidance.
Regards
Amar Jain.

Hi Amar,

Ask the dealer to load Windows 7 on the laptop. You should buy a laptop that
can support Windows 7. Usually, this would mean the laptop having at least
3GB of ram and a suitable processor.

Dear Pranav sir, both the brothers and all,
In my case running adviser is not possible as it is going to be a new
laptop. So dealer wont allow me to check before buying.
Any other suggestion please?
Waiting for guidance.
Amar Jain.

Hai amar,
I am writing after a long time.
On the Microsoft's website, There is a software application named windows7
upgrade adviser.
Just download and install the application.
Follow the instructions, and it will scan your entire computer and will
give
you a complete report regarding your specific hardware and software
compatibility with windows7
It also suggests on what needs to be done to make the hardware or software
compatible with win7.
Please let me know if you require any further help in this regard.
Warm regards.
Dinesh thole.

Subject: [AI] finding hardware compatebility with windows 7 64 bit?

Hi All,
Finally my Jaws problem got solved. Thanks to Mahesh bhaiya for that.
Now, I have another question which needs to be solved before 29th of this
month.
If I have to know that weather my hardware is compateble with windows
7 64 bit or not, then how will I do that?
Specifically I wish to know that weather canon's lida 25 scanner is
compateble with 64 bit? And if yes, then drivers please?
I hope my model is right just to give an idea I am talking about the
scanner which costed 2800 or something nearer in 2008 I guess.
Experts, in need of your valuable guidance as I have no idea about this.
Thanks,
Amar Jain.
