Dear Asif and all Yesterday there was a pointed question weather information on disability would be collected for the household enumeration exercise. The answer was a clear no.
It is going to be collected in the main census. The toll free number has persons who can follow 15 languages and is open from 9 am to 6 pm. All complaints, revisits etc can be requested on it. I am anguish to point out that they did not ask any question with regard to disability but they did ask question related to CAST such as SC/ ST/ others. It is indeed horrifying to note that there is no official data on disability. We really failed as far as lobbying for disability being included in national sensus. It?s too late to lobby for inclusion. Hope I am wrong.
