Hi Rishi, I do not know about the Kurzweil 1000 since I do not use the product now. However, you can set Microsoft Word to save after every 2 minutes. The default saving interval is 10 minutes.
My instructions depend on what version of word you are using. In Microsoft Word 2010 or 2007, you go to the back stage view by hitting alt+f (jaws calls this the file menu) and then navigate to preferences.
