after it you should go into file menu and then send document submenu and select desired application. your document will be open in selected application. After it you can read and save it for future reading.
If you press CTRL + SHIFT + o a options menu will be opened. in scan tab you should select ' donot read and analysis aquayer images automatically' If you select this option after scanning you have to press CTRL SHIFT R fro reading.
